Raising Funds to Find Less Toxic & More Effective Treatments for Childhood Cancer

No More Kids with Cancer's annual event in Philadelphia was held on October 13th, 2018 at the Urban Outfitters headquarters in Philadelphia's historic Navy Yard. The Purple Ball celebrates survivors of childhood cancer, honors those who are trailblazers making a change in childhood cancer and raises money and awareness for groundbreaking childhood cancer research. The 2018 Purple Ball was a great success and raised over $350,000, helping us fund at least one other major research grant. Check out photos of the evening below.

Our Emcee Tracy Davidson

Our emcee for a third consecutive year, Tracy Davidson was introduced to No More Kids with Cancer in 2016, and quickly became an advocate for childhood cancer. She also was the first TV anchor to do the Mustard Challenge!

Tracy is a 7 time Emmy Award-winning journalist and has been connecting with people, both through her position as a news-anchor and as a highly coveted empowerment speaker. Tracy co-anchors NBC10 News Today weekdays from 4 to 7 AM in Philadelphia. A tireless consumer advocate, Tracy makes sure Delaware Valley residents are informed and educated with the most complete information to help them make the best decisions for themselves and their families.

The No More Kids with Cancer Trailblazer Award recognizes an individual or organization who is accelerating childhood cancer awareness, research, treatments or cures.

We were honored to recognize Dr. Peter Phillips at our 2018 event. Dr. Philips is an attending physician with the Cancer Center at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He is receiving the Trailblazer award for his life's work in pediatric cancer, research on brain tumors and novel approaches to improve outcomes for children with brain tumors. His tireless work reinforces our mission to discover safer, less toxic and more effective treatments for kids with cancer.
