No More Kids with Cancer's annual event in Philadelphia was held on October 13th, 2018 at the Urban Outfitters headquarters in Philadelphia's historic Navy Yard. The Purple Ball celebrates survivors of childhood cancer, honors those who are trailblazers making a change in childhood cancer and raises money and awareness for groundbreaking childhood cancer research. The 2018 Purple Ball was a great success and raised over $350,000, helping us fund at least one other major research grant. Check out photos of the evening below.
We were honored to recognize Dr. Peter Phillips at our 2018 event. Dr. Philips is an attending physician with the Cancer Center at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He is receiving the Trailblazer award for his life's work in pediatric cancer, research on brain tumors and novel approaches to improve outcomes for children with brain tumors. His tireless work reinforces our mission to discover safer, less toxic and more effective treatments for kids with cancer.
